About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Assistant to join our team at Tollemache Respite Service.
As a Care and Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our customers, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sensitive care and expert support to our customers
- Encourage resident integration and inclusion into the community
- Promote a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation
- Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments
- Manage and implement safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
- Perform sleep-ins and general cleaning and cooking duties
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records
Requirements
- Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar care-related role
- Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong "can-do" attitude
- Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
- NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
