Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Penderels Trust. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide support and care to an individual with epilepsy, enabling them to live independently and maintain their quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the individual with personal care tasks, such as toileting, showering, and getting dressed
- Assisting with household chores and general homemaking
- Supporting the individual to attend appointments and engage in social activities
- Caring for the individual's pet
- Providing emotional support and companionship
You will work closely with the individual and their family to develop a personalized care plan, ensuring their needs are met and their dignity is respected.
We are looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and able to work independently. If you are a caring and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting people with disabilities, we would love to hear from you.
Please note that this role requires a DBS check and a valid driving license.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, understanding, and empathy
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential
