Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Coach to join our team at British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS). The successful applicant will be expected to support the current Mens 1s international coach, play for the Mens 1s, and assist at the junior Sunday morning training sessions, plus additional coaching duties during the week, as mutually agreed.

The Mens 1s team is currently in South Central Division 1 North and aims to achieve promotion to the South Central Premier Divisions. To achieve this goal, we require an experienced player with a strong understanding of the game and excellent coaching skills.

The successful applicant should already be playing at a Premier Division standard or higher and also seeking to develop their coaching knowledge and education. This is an ideal opportunity for recent university graduates returning, or moving, to the Buckinghamshire area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Mens 1s international coach in planning and executing training sessions.
  • Play for the Mens 1s team in league matches and tournaments.
  • Assist at the junior Sunday morning training sessions.
  • Develop and implement coaching plans to improve player performance.

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience.
