Education Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in an evolving service. The successful candidate will work in educational settings, delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The role involves working in partnership with children, young people, their families, and educators to support the self-management of mental health issues.
Main Responsibilities
The postholder will assess and deliver outcome-focused interventions in educational settings, working collaboratively with educators and other agency professionals. They will also contribute to the development of individual or group clinical materials and training materials. The successful candidate will be required to participate in case management supervision and respond to supervision suggestions from supervisors.
Requirements
We are looking for a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner with a relevant Post Graduate Diploma qualification and registration with a relevant professional body. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in schools and with families, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation and documents pertaining to children. They will also be able to manage a defined caseload and participate in case management supervision.
