Education Mental Health Practitioner/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in an evolving service, delivering evidence-based, early intervention for children and young people in education settings with mild to moderate mental health problems.
Main ResponsibilitiesDelivering evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working in partnership with children, young people, their families and educators to develop plans for intervention and agreed support.
Assessing and delivering outcome-focused interventions, either directly or using a remote approach, individual or group, in collaboration with and giving respect to the education function of the setting in which you are working.
Working in effective, evidence-based partnership with children, young people, their families and their educators in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed support.
Supporting and empowering children, young people, their parents/carers and families and their educators to make informed choices about the interventions being offered.
About the RoleThis is an opportunity to be involved in a new and exciting trailblazing team hosted within CAMHS, as a joint initiative between health and education. The Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is a new service available in certain Nottinghamshire schools.
You will work with a variety of agencies to ensure a quality service is provided, working alongside the team to deliver parent, staff well-being and 1:1 sessions.
RequirementsYou must be a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner and have obtained the relevant EMHP/CWP Post Graduate Diploma qualification following the completion of a CYP IAPT approved training in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (C&Y IAPT).
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and commitment to ongoing learning is essential.
