About the Role:
  • Support students with Autism and other special educational needs
  • Implement programs to meet the social, health, physical, hygiene, and welfare needs of pupils
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective support
  • Provide physical, sensory, communication, and learning support to pupils
  • Be flexible and adaptable in your approach to working with students
Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant Qualification (minimum Level 2)
  • Degree in SEND Education or equivalent
  • Specific training skills in MAKATON, PECS, HOIST, Moving & Handling, First Aid, and de-escalation
  • Knowledge and understanding of requirements for effective support in a SEND setting
