About the Role

The Bodleian Libraries is seeking a Senior Records Management Specialist to join its Archives and Modern Manuscripts team. This exciting opportunity will enable you to leverage your skills to drive change in the administration, prioritization, planning, and delivery of the Libraries' archival work.

As part of the Archives Senior Management Team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, with a primary focus on the University's archives. You will oversee individuals and small teams in executing A&MM projects and daily operations, ensuring alignment and efficient use of resources.

This role requires strong all-round archives management skills, an awareness of current thinking and developments in archives and records management, and a commitment to maintaining this expertise. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also essential, as you will be working in a changing and complex matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the administration, prioritization, planning, and delivery of the Libraries' archival work.
  • Oversight of individuals and small teams executing A&MM projects and daily operations.
  • Development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Alignment and efficient use of resources.
  • Stewardship of the University's archive, making it accessible for administrative and research purposes.
  • Participation in rotas for evening & weekend reading room supervision duties.

  • An estimated salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
