The Role

The Ad Operations function is a key group within the Commercial Operations team. We use Google Ad Manager, one of our most widely used systems, to deliver our direct and programmatic revenue streams. Convertr is our core database platform for managing, qualifying, and optimizing lead generation delivery. As Technical Ad Ops Manager, you'll lead the setup, deployment, and system enhancement across our platforms and portfolio of websites, working closely with our Product function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership and management of Google Ad Manager setup and deployment across our digital properties.
  • Assessing, testing, and integrating new Ad serving technologies into our Ad stack.
  • Debugging Ad code and software integrations, including our DMP, CDP, or programmatic partners, with both internal and external development teams.
  • Becoming the 'go-to' person in the digital business for Ad serving technology-related questions or troubleshooting, including creative debugging for delivery.
  • Helping lead the technical implementation and driving the correct usage of our key commercial technical products across our Ad stack.
  • Supporting the Programmatic, Demand Generation / Display Campaign Operation team to aid in the delivery and success of all campaigns.
  • Working alongside product management specialists to deliver prioritized improvements to our commercial delivery function.
  • Identifying commercial opportunities for future development based on the current and future media landscape.
  • Prioritizing development items that maximize business value.
  • Aiding in the technical review of any supplier selection process across our commercial product stack.
  • Understanding the current commercial landscape across media by working with peers and suppliers.
  • Helping train and knowledge share across the department.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of Ad Operations experience with a strong technical and setup background.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent and confident interpersonal skills to persuade, negotiate, and establish good working relationships with colleagues and clients/agencies.
  • Understanding of GDPR and the impact of decisions.
  • Experience in product development working practices with agile methodologies.
  • Experience of application & technical system integration working with both internal and external partners.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent data analysis, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in documentation and communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet variable deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and define own workload.
