About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Solar Solution Engineer to join our team at RES, the world's largest independent renewable energy company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our mission to create a future where everyone has access to affordable, zero-carbon energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and solar resource assessments to identify potential project sites
  • Support the techno-economic optimisation of solar projects, including solar PV system design and its impact on Balance of System
  • Carry out miscellaneous analyses in support of project development, including energy yield assessments and system-wide design
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to discuss supplier options and ensure the best value for our projects
  • Develop and maintain tools to support project development and analysis
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and the solar PV industry
  • Experience working on utility-scale solar PV projects, with a focus on system-wide design and energy modelling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in PVSyst or other PV simulation software, with experience in GIS and programming languages such as Python
