Solar PV CAD Designer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Solar PV CAD Designer to join our team. As a Solar PV CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in our Solar PV design team, ensuring our installers and clients have access to accurate Solar designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review and analyse tender packs and documentation from clients to create detailed site plans indicating Solar PV locations.
  2. Collate documents to create a design pack and complete designs primarily using AutoCAD.
  3. Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks and prepare and update documentation as required.
  4. Understand and interpret clients' expectations and provide excellent communication and liaison skills.
Requirements:
  1. AutoCAD experience is essential, with PVSol, VDV planner, and Solar experience desirable.
  2. Strong IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  3. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a professional approach and the ability to liaise with colleagues and customers.
  4. Attention to detail and accuracy, even when working under pressure, and a tenacious approach to completing tasks within deadlines.
