Solar PV CAD Designer

We are seeking a skilled Solar PV CAD Designer to join our team at Glos. As a key member of our Solar PV design team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our installers and clients have access to accurate Solar designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyse tender packs and documentation from clients to ensure accurate design requirements.
  2. Collate documents to create a design pack, including site plans and Solar PV locations.
  3. Utilise AutoCAD to create detailed site plans and designs.
  4. Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks and prepare documentation as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to understand and interpret their expectations.

Requirements:

  1. Essential experience with AutoCAD and a strong understanding of Solar PV design principles.
  2. Desirable experience with PVSol, VDV planner, and Solar software.
  3. Organised and able to prioritise workload effectively.
  4. Strong IT skills, including Excel.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy, even under pressure.
  8. Tenacious approach to completing tasks within deadlines.
  9. Positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
