Behaviour Support Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Levenshulme. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who exhibit behavioural difficulties, providing one-on-one or small group support to help them engage positively with their education.
Responsibilities:
- Work with teachers to manage classroom behaviour, ensuring that lessons are conducted in a positive and inclusive environment.
- Implement behaviour management plans for individual students, working under the guidance of the school's pastoral team.
- Develop strong relationships with students, acting as a positive role model and mentor.
- Assist in resolving conflicts between students, promoting positive communication and helping them develop problem-solving skills.
- Support students with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included in all aspects of school life.
- Keep records of students' behaviour and progress, providing regular updates to the school's pastoral team.
- Liaise with parents and carers as needed, providing updates on student progress.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this role is £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.
