About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Healthy Lifestyle Advisor. As a key member of our community health team, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyles and delivering motivational change to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver informative and engaging one-to-one weight management programs, including healthy eating, behavior change, and exercise delivery to groups of adults in the community.
  • Support clients with personalized, age-appropriate, one-to-one and group healthy eating, behavior change, and physical activity advice to children, young people, and families.
  • Deliver support with a client-centered, non-judgmental approach using skills of positive psychology and motivational interviewing.
  • Contribute to the development of health promotion activities and deliver them at various localities as required.

Requirements
  • Education to degree level or relevant equivalent experience.
  • CIMSPA (previously REPS) qualified Level 2 Gym instructor/Group exercise award or equivalent.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with people.
  • Excellent administration, record keeping, and data collection skills.
  • IT literate, efficient using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and cope in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Willingness to learn and innovate.
