About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Healthy Lifestyle Coach at ABL Health Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering informative and engaging one-to-one weight management programs, including healthy eating, behavior change, and exercise delivery to groups of adults in the community. They will also be required to deliver safe, personalized, and age-appropriate advice on healthy eating, behavior change, and physical activity to children, young people, and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive health promotion programs to promote healthy lifestyles and behavior change.
  • Provide one-to-one and group coaching sessions to support individuals in achieving their health and wellness goals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement health interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct health assessments and develop personalized plans to support clients in achieving their health and wellness goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the service and increase referrals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of health education materials and resources.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the service.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • CIMSPA (previously REPS) qualified Level 2 Gym instructor/Group exercise award or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, administration, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and innovate.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Sports Coaching qualification.
  • Degree in nutrition and/or eligible to be registered as an associate or full member of the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists/ or degree in exercise, psychology, public health, other health-related field.
  • Experience of delivering groups and/or one-to-one weight management interventions to children, young people, and adults.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience of planning and delivering appropriate health interventions specific to individual requirements.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly and adapt to suit service needs, including evening and occasional weekend work as required. They will also be required to travel independently across the organisational footprint.
