Payroll Regulatory Specialist

The Payroll Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for maintaining payroll compliance across the UK payroll. This role will ensure that payroll processes are compliant with UK tax laws, HMRC regulations, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with reporting to HMRC.
- Act as the point of contact for HMRC and other government bodies for payroll-related queries.
- Provide expert advice on payroll issues, resolving queries from employees and management.
- Lead system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations to improve payroll processes and ensure compliance with new regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with payroll non-compliance.
- Develop and maintain internal payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on payroll compliance requirements and updates.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years previous experience working within payroll is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation is essential.
- Experience working within a Payroll Compliance role is desirable.
- CIPP or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Demonstrable Microsoft Excel experience working at an intermediate to higher level.
