About the Role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious, creative and talented undergraduate to join the European Corporate Brand and Communications team of Hitachi Europe as a Digital Marketing Placement on a year's paid placement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver communications on a pan-European level, as well as supporting the needs of our local European offices.
  • Maintain and develop our corporate websites and intranet, reviewing social media content, handling external enquiries, monitoring and analysing the website performance.
  • Work closely with colleagues from Hitachi Group companies to ensure product information and web links are accurate and up-to-date in multiple languages.
  • Work with external website development and translation agencies to manage online content.
  • Use online tools such as website analytics and link checkers, as well as our Wordpress and Sitecore content management systems.
  • Handle online enquiries from European customers, and either respond to them or redirect them internally as appropriate.
  • Design and develop new content to keep the websites looking fresh and engaging.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will possess a marketing/business related degree.
  • Keen interest in branding and digital marketing, including social media.
  • Motivated team player with good organisational and communication skills, a flexible attitude and attention to detail.
  • Proficient across Microsoft packages. Ability with other web tools, Adobe tools a bonus.
