The NHS is a busy, friendly GP practice based in Nottingham serving approximately 4500 patients. We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking Healthcare Assistant.

Main Responsibilities

This role involves standard duties of a healthcare assistant such as taking bloods and chronic disease management. The successful candidate will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team, reporting directly to the Practice Nurse.

About Us

We are a small friendly team whose aim is to provide our patients with the best possible care. Our ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of phlebotomy protocols and maintenance of equipment.

Job Requirements
  • Perform ECGs under direct supervision.
  • Blood pressure monitoring.
  • Blood glucose monitoring.
  • Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment.
  • Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation.
  • Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions.
  • Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being.
  • Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted.
  • Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being.

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
