This is a permanent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust and contribute to the development of the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a wide range of psychiatric specialties within The Bay locality and contribute to the Consultant On Call rota, with additional remuneration for this role.

Main duties of the job:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Trust and to be an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine.
  • The Pears Cumbria School of Medicine (PCSM) is a new venture between the University of Cumbria and Imperial College London, aiming to produce doctors committed to delivering cutting-edge healthcare approaches and serving the needs of the Cumbria community.
  • The PCSM graduate-entry MBBS programme will equip students with generalist skills and the ability to adapt and apply knowledge to different environments, circumstances, and challenges.

The post will attract a Recruitment & Retention Premia for 3 years, and the Trust offers a Study leave budget of £3000 over 3 years or up to £5000 over 3 years for newly qualified Consultants.
