Job Title: Activity Program Manager

Location: Kendray, Barnsley

Job Type: Full-time

Estimated Salary:$35,000 - $40,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and creative individual to lead our activities team in a care home setting. As an Activity Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities that promote social interaction, personal growth, and well-being among our residents.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to understand the needs and preferences of our residents and develop activity programs that cater to their interests and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualized activity plans based on resident goals and interests
  • Foster community spirit through group activities and events
  • Support residents to maintain and take up new hobbies and interests
  • Assist residents to become more involved in their local community
  • Celebrate national awareness days and individual achievements
  • Lead the in-house Activities Team

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for working with older adults and people with mental health conditions
  • Basic knowledge of art therapy and recreational activities
