Job Description

We’re seeking a highly skilled Intelligence Analyst to join our Counter Fraud Services team at First Central Insurance Management Ltd.


About the Role

As an Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for completing complex desktop research reports, reviewing and analysing fraudulent claims and policies, and managing fraud operations.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Receive, triage, and disseminate all internally and externally sourced intelligence for use in protecting the business from fraud risks.
  2. Manage a fraud intelligence repository, including data input, quality, retention, and disposal.
  3. Undertake desktop research on suspect claims and policies and produce comprehensive intelligence and research reports.
  4. Identify and refer suspect claims and policies to relevant teams using fraud databases and analytics tools.
  5. Produce witness statements on policy misrepresentation and non-disclosure and give evidence in court.
  6. Meet agreed fraud KPIs and targets.
  7. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market counter fraud activities specific to intelligence and related fraud/financial crime legislation.
  8. Ensure compliance with company financial crime procedures and related policies.
  9. Submit Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary to the Intelligence Manager and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  10. Analyse fraud threats using multiple Excel datasets.
  11. Maintain the fraud intelligence relationships with the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED), and Insurance Fraud Investigators Group (IFIG).
  12. Adhere to and consider all regulatory requirements at all times, including TCF, DPA, and AML.
  13. Ensure compliance with TCF principles when liaising with customers.
  14. Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  15. Be compliant with health and safety policies at all times.
  16. Ensure compliance with Company and other relevant standards/regulations at all times.
  17. Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
  18. Carry out duties, activities, and tasks as directed within the Claims and Fraud pillar.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:



  • Proven Motor insurance claims and policy experience.
  • Fraud intelligence handling in the general insurance (motor) environment.
  • Undertaking research and writing reports.
  • Some knowledge of fraud intelligence handling practice.
  • Awareness of the IFB intelligence model.
  • Good understanding of relevant fraud-related legislation.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of motor insurance.
  • Excellent knowledge of FCA requirements (including TCF) and the regulatory framework relating to general insurance.
