About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our Private Client department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist legal advice to vulnerable clients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Court of Protection Rules. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality legal services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist legal advice to vulnerable clients and their families
  • Manage a caseload of Court of Protection cases, including personal injury trusts, statutory wills, and gift applications
  • Work with the Deputy and Head of the Court of Protection team to shape the success of the team
  • Provide guidance to other team members on Court of Protection matters
  • Develop relationships with clients and their families to provide ongoing support and advice
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in a Court of Protection or Private Client department
  • Strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Court of Protection Rules
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
