About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our Private Client team in Birmingham. As a specialist in Court of Protection law, you will be responsible for providing deputyship support, managing EPAs and LPAs, and preparing and submitting non-contentious COP applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on care fee planning and DWP benefits
  • Manage the affairs of individuals under registered EPAs and LPAs
  • Prepare and submit non-contentious COP applications
  • Draft statutory will and codicil applications
  • Work closely with clients and their families to understand their needs and provide tailored support

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of Court of Protection law and a passion for working with individuals who lack capacity to make decisions for themselves. You will also need to be commercially focused and able to work effectively in a team.
