Job Summary


Manton Heights ABI unit has an exciting opportunity to join their therapy team in a challenging and rewarding role as an Occupational Therapist. We are seeking an experienced professional with a passion for neurological rehabilitation and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.


Main Responsibilities



  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans for patients with neurological diagnoses, focusing on stroke and brain injury
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to promote independence, functional ability, and quality of life
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective discharge planning
  • Provide training and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote best practice and improve patient outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with current research, policies, and guidelines in occupational therapy and neurological rehabilitation

Requirements



  • BSc Hons Degree in Occupational Therapy and valid HCPC registration
  • Minimum 12-18 months experience in neurology, with a strong understanding of brain injury and stroke rehabilitation
  • Excellent clinical assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to complete comprehensive assessments, develop individualized rehabilitation plans, and document patient progress in a timely and accurate manner
