Foster Care Associate's Opportunity

Polaris Community is seeking an experienced Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our team in providing outstanding support to foster parents and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, with a proven track record of supporting and monitoring the suitability and competence of foster parents.

Job Description:

We are looking for an individual who can provide high-quality support to our foster families, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and monitoring the suitability and competence of foster parents
  • Providing regular supervision and ensuring compliance with key documentation
  • Attending meetings and providing reports for commissioning teams
  • Promoting participation of children/young people in the agency and local community
  • Participating in 'out of hours' support and day duty systems

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent
  • Proven report writing skills and knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to travel extensively and transport children in sometimes stressful situations
  • Full driving licence

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
