About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Specialist Team Leader. This is a unique opportunity to work with a small team to provide bespoke care, support, and education to two young adults with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the care and educational support for the twins, working closely with a small team of support assistants.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating EHCPs and learning objectives.
  • Provide direct support to the twins, modeling effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with parents, professional, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and education.
  • Contribute to programmes of observation and assessment, and develop resources to deliver care and learning.
  • Champion the delivery of education, promoting positive behavior and managing challenging behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to progress learning and life opportunities in various settings.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory guidance on safeguarding, manual handling, health and safety, and GDPR.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young adults with autism, with a commitment to their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team.
  • Patience, calmness under pressure, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Hold or work towards NVQ level 3 or more, with opportunities for career progression.
  • Experience in personal care and a commitment to safeguarding.
