About the Role

We are recruiting a highly skilled Mental Health Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in Oxford. As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to students with complex difficulties, working closely with the school staff to develop and implement effective strategies. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate records of student progress and participate in regular team meetings.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children or vulnerable adults, preferably in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
  • A non-judgmental and empathetic approach, allowing you to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
