Senior People Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior People Development Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering our firm-wide core skills offering, focusing on leadership development and talent management.
As a Senior People Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of our new core professional skills offering, from Early in Careers (EiC) to Director. You will work closely with our broader learning team to create a holistic core learning offering that aligns with our People Strategy, including Talent Management, ESG, Wellbeing, and EDI.
You will design learning solutions based on best practice design to engage our learners and support and embed learning on the job. You will also ensure our core learning offering is clearly communicated and understood, championed by senior leaders, and builds our learning culture.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver our new core professional skills offering from EiC to Director, focusing on leadership development.
- Work with the broader learning team to create a holistic core learning offering that aligns with our People Strategy.
- Design learning solutions based on best practice design to engage our learners and support and embed learning on the job.
- Ensure our core learning offering is clearly communicated and understood, championed by senior leaders, and builds our learning culture.
- Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of our learning programmes, reporting on outcomes and return on investment.
- Lead and coach 5 direct Manager-level reports.
- Manage programme budgets.
- Proven experience in a senior learning and development role, preferably in a professional service business or a similar regulated environment.
- Proven leadership and management skills, and the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Expert knowledge and expertise in learning and development methodologies and tools, with proven experience of learning technologies and the use of data.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to design and deliver engaging and impactful learning and development solutions.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, to understand how best to align our offering to meet business ambitions.
- Strong collaboration and project management skills, to ensure a creative design process across a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, to engage with different audiences across the business.
- Qualification in instructional design, education, coaching, psychology/behavioural science preferred.
