We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at Nova Training. As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a high standard of learning, development, and care for children, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Deputise for the Nursery Manager, taking on leadership responsibilities and ensuring the nursery runs efficiently.
  • Lead a room, ensuring the environment is safe, stimulating, and conducive to learning.
  • Develop partnerships with parents/carers, increasing their involvement in their child's development.
  • Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
  • Undertake designated safeguarding lead roles, working with other professionals in the local area to benefit children and families.
  • Work closely with the nursery managers to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day duties.
  • Be a key person, ensuring records are properly maintained and liaising with parents/carers.
  • Check and maintain ratios across the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Participate in out-of-working-hours activities, such as training and staff meetings.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the nursery, ensuring all kitchenettes and toilets are clean, safe, and tidy.
  • Ensure dietary and allergy requirements are met, and regular deep cleaning and sterilising of equipment and resources.
  • Conduct parent show-arounds for new and prospective families.
