About The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Deputy Manager to join our Children's Residential Home team at The Cambian Group. As a key member of our senior management team, you will work closely with children, young people, and employees to deliver positive outcomes for our service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each young person has an allocated key worker
  • Ensure each staff member is aware of each child's placement plan and their responsibilities
  • Attend childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes
  • Undertake direct work with young people and act as an appropriate role model
  • Assist in developing systems for young people to consult about the quality of care they receive
  • Contribute to devising, implementing, and evaluating changes with the involvement of front-line staff
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Ensure adequate staffing according to the needs of young people
  • Maintain financial records and allocate resources appropriately

Requirements:

  • NVQ 3 in caring for Children and Young People or equivalent
  • Understanding of the Ofsted framework (SCCIF)
  • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
  • Team building and supervision skills
  • Ability to manage teams effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and enthuse staff
  • A full UK driving licence is required due to the location and nature of the role
