The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and passionate Perinatal Matron to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving transformational change in healthcare and developing a workforce capable of providing safe and high-quality care standards.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure adequate staffing and operational workforce planning to deliver the highest standard of care.
- Develop and implement staff retention improvement action plans to identify and address local training opportunities and retention issues.
- Implement the core competency framework to guide local mandatory training programs and ensure staff skills are relevant to their roles.
- Ensure all perinatal staff have opportunities for continuous professional development through assessing training and learning needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating education and training.
- Provide leadership and management expertise to promote the teaching, training, and ongoing development of midwifery and nursing staff.
- Ensure the non-registered workforce's personal, professional, and practice development is an active process within Perinatal Services.
