About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carbon & BESS Development Specialist to join our team at Timely Recruit. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and originating new carbon and BESS optimization deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Origination: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through relationship-building with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Establish and oversee a profit centre focused on carbon and emissions trading, encompassing trading activities, risk management, and commercial strategy.
  • Evaluation: Assess and secure new BESS and SaaS deals, ensuring compliance with company standards and risk guidelines.
  • Reporting: Create and deliver comprehensive proposals and reports to senior management.
  • Tendering: Oversee the tender process for front-of-the-meter assets, ensuring prompt and high-quality submissions.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure agreements that benefit both parties.
  • Monitoring: Establish mutually advantageous agreements with clients.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams, such as data science, legal, compliance, trading, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Pipeline: Maintain a strong pipeline of potential deals and monitor their progress using CRM and other tools.
  • Networking: Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and grow business connections.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in origination, energy trading, or a similar role within the energy industry.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and industry contacts.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.
  • Attributes: High self-motivation, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
