Polaris Community is looking for a motivated and experienced professional to fill the position of Youth Development Mentor.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and young people, and will be able to provide tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Salary: £22,369.35 per annum

Location: Mansfield, with regular travel to Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and Derby.

Job Description:

  1. To support identified children and young people in their home environment, promoting equality, diversity, and rights for all individuals associated with the service.
  2. To develop and implement individualized plans to support children and young people in achieving their goals and aspirations.
  3. To work closely with birth parents, carers, social workers, schools, and other professionals to advocate for the child/young person's wishes and feelings.
  4. To ensure the service delivered promotes equality, diversity, and rights for all individuals associated with the service.
  5. To deliver the service according to the required model as laid out in the Operating Manual.
