We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our client, a local charity providing high-quality care and support for local families. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing the financial, accounting, and payroll functions using SAGE software.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the financial, accounting, and payroll functions of the charity, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best practices.
- Assist the Head of Finance in staff training, staff management, and governance of procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with statutory regulations, guidelines, and best practices for the financial management of charities.
- Prepare timely returns, including monthly/quarterly and annual financial accounts, for presentation to the Head of Finance & Business Resources/Chief Executive.
- Manage the charity's bank account and online banking, ensuring all payments are processed efficiently.
- Prepare management accounts and budgets, ensuring effective financial governance and control.
- Manage and govern finance procedures and arrangements in relation to Service Users' Monies.
- Supervise an Administrator and Maintenance Officer to ensure effective maintenance and facilities management.
- Fully qualified accounting technician or Part/fully qualified accountant with a relevant qualification from a recognized accounting board.
- Proven experience working in a similar role, managing a finance function, including staff management.
- Strong experience in using SAGE 50 Accounts and a good knowledge of SAGE payroll.
- Experience of procurement processes in relation to estates and maintenance issues.
- Experience of managing budgets and procurement within robust financial and governance procedures.
- A competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum.
- A range of benefits, including 25 days leave rising to 28 after 5 years, 8 statutory days, Medicash health policy, enhanced maternity leave, and employer pension contribution.
