Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Course Director to lead our academic programme, overseeing all teaching team members and ensuring high standards in the classroom. This is a fixed-term contract lasting between one and two months, with a competitive salary of £756 per week (including holiday pay).

Responsibilities

">

As Course Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the academic programme and overseeing the teaching team;
  • Ensuring high standards in the classroom and maintaining academic records and procedures;
  • Managing and being responsible for all academic materials and equipment;
  • Providing training for the team and group leaders;
  • Supporting the Centre Manager with team induction and meeting and greeting new groups;
  • Liaising with the Centre Manager and Excursions and Activity Manager in the organisation of the team rota;
  • Writing brief appraisals for all team members;
  • Completing exit feedback at the end of your contract.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least two years full-time EFL experience;
  • Previous experience in a management or supervisory role;
  • Previous experience of summer schools or working with young people;
  • RSA DELTA, Trinity Diploma, PGCE in TESOL/TEFL or postgraduate course in TEFL/TESOL qualification;
  • Competent with Excel;
  • Knowledge of the local area.
