Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced HLTA to join our team at a Specialist school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will have experience of working with highly complex A.S.D./SEMH pupils and will be responsible for supporting them in developing their day-to-day and academic skills, as well as their social emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in developing their day-to-day and academic skills
  • Providing interventions and cover classes across the school
  • Working with teachers to develop learning activities and support pupils in achieving their learning outcomes
  • Collaborating with the school's dedicated staff team to provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively with teachers and other staff members to support pupils' learning outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
