Exciting Opportunity for a Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our Procurement Directorate within Wessex Water. As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our business units within the UK, including Wessex Water, by ensuring that all procurement activity and agreements are designed and implemented to deliver the best value to the company.

About the Role
  • Manage agreements and spending linked to capital equipment
  • Ensure that all procurement activity and agreements are designed and implemented to deliver the best value to the company
  • Work in a civil engineering, utilities, or a heavy industry environment, with prior experience in purchasing equipment and critical assets, predominantly for water supply and treatment plants, as well as other capital schemes
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams
