We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Student Liaison and Community Engagement Specialist within the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's housing department. As a liaison between students, staff, and faculty, you will foster a positive and inclusive campus community while promoting the university's mission and values.

About the Role:

This community engagement specialist will collaborate with students, staff, and faculty to develop and implement initiatives that enhance student experiences, promote community engagement, and foster a sense of belonging among students. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be knowledgeable about university programs and services, and demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with students, staff, and faculty to develop and implement initiatives that enhance student experiences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist in promoting university housing and residence life programs through various channels, including social media, email, and print materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of events, attendance, and communication with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (in progress or completed).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and adaptability skills.
  • Familiarity with event planning and coordination principles.
