About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team at Kurt Geiger. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting our Buyer in building seasonal product ranges across our brand portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to decisions on building seasonal product ranges across brand portfolio
  • Work alongside the Buyer and Merchandise Team in the preparation of seasonal reviews and strategic seasonal planning
  • Support and assist the Buyer in defining customer, market, and trend-focused seasonal collections
  • Stay aware of market movements, competitor activity, and current and forthcoming fashion trends
  • Research and propose new brand opportunities to optimize the existing portfolio and potentialize sales performance
  • Manage relationships with host stores and brand partners
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding order confirmations to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Support negotiations with brand partners to ensure accurate prices and margins
  • Work proactively with merchandising to take action on in-season opportunities with repeats, cancellations, and rescheduling of orders
  • Build cross-functional team relationships to communicate information regarding deliveries, exclusives, product launches, and other relevant details to the wider team
  • Manage the Buying Admin Assistant
Requirements
  • Proven successful track record as an Assistant Buyer
  • Educated to degree level
  • Passionate about fashion and an expert on upcoming trends
  • Able to build brand relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and have a good knowledge of financial measurements
  • Personable, confident, and self-motivated
  • Previous experience in Line Managing an Admin Assistant
  • Excellent attention to detail with a 'can-do' attitude and ability to show initiative
  • Great attention to detail, with a commercial aptitude
  • The ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
