Assistant Buyer Role Overview

As an Assistant Buyer at Currys plc, you will play a key role in supporting the Buyer and Senior Buyer in bringing the most compelling range and great value products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Buyer in managing supplier relationships and negotiating product ranges and pricing.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform buying decisions and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product launches and promotions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive innovation and cost savings.
  • Support the development of category strategies and plans to drive business growth and profitability.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years' experience in a buying or procurement role, with a strong understanding of technical products.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, or Business degree, or equivalent experience.
