About the Role

The Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a Specialist Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering innovative models of working and providing holistic, relevant, and functional support to children and the professionals around them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in mainstream secondary schools, PRU/vocational college, and the Youth Justice Service to provide speech and language therapy services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children's communication needs.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of new services and projects within the Trust.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and mentoring to support the growth and development of junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Health and Care Professions Council - Licence to Practice.
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Post-graduate experience in relevant specialist area.
  • Evidence of having received mentoring support in the relevant specialist area.
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision to SaLT students.
  • Experience of instigating and managing change.
