Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Specialist. The successful candidate will work with children and young people with complex communication needs, providing specialist interventions and supporting schools to develop good practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy to children and young people with complex communication needs
  • Work with schools to develop good practice in supporting children and young people with communication difficulties
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans for children and young people
  • Contribute to the development of the Speech and Language Therapy service, including the development of policies and procedures
  • Participate in the on-call rota for the Speech and Language Therapy service
Requirements
  • HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex communication needs
  • Experience of working in a school setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
