Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community SALT team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to adults with acquired neurological disorders, including a range of disorders such as dysphagia and communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities- To provide a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with speech and language impairments and swallowing disorders.
- To work autonomously and independently in a range of community settings, without immediate access to professional support.
- To participate in evidence-based audit/research activity to further the team's clinical practice.
- To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care and to meet the needs of the client group.
We are looking for a candidate with a recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent, registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and membership of relevant Clinical Excellence Networks (CENs). The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with adults with acquired neurological disorders, including a range of disorders in order to make detailed SLT diagnoses and management plans.
