We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Physiologist Lead to join our team at Gateshead Health. As a key member of our Respiratory Physiology Department, you will be responsible for providing support and leadership in various functions across the trust.

Job Description
  • Provide exceptional leadership to shape a collective leadership culture within the trust, demonstrating consistent leadership style that engages, enables, and empowers others.
  • Competently perform and interpret spirometry (reversibility of airways obstruction with bronchodilators), gas transfer, static lung volumes, exhaled and nasal nitric oxide.
  • Liaise with and report to medical staff to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and care for all equipment, organizing repairs and servicing to ensure quality of service and high safety levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in pulmonary physiology & sleep medicine to provide expert advice.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of emergency procedures regarding resuscitation and fire.
  • Accept responsibility for professional development and competence.

Requirements
  • A basic computer skills to use email and access the intranet.
  • An undergraduate degree in clinical physiology or Practitioner Training Programme (PTP) qualification or equivalent science-related subject.

We offer a competitive salary of £43,685 - £56,093 per annum, reflecting the skills and qualifications required for this role.
