We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Physiologist to join our Respiratory Physiology Department in Gateshead, North East England.
Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to provide support to our department in various functions across the trust. As a Clinical Physiologist, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting spirometry, gas transfer, static lung volumes, and exhaled and nasal nitric oxide tests.
Key Responsibilities- Competently perform and interpret spirometry, gas transfer, static lung volumes, and exhaled and nasal nitric oxide tests.
- Liaise with and report to medical staff on test results.
- Supervise, maintain, calibrate, and care for all equipment, ensuring quality of service and high safety levels.
- Keep abreast of developments in pulmonary physiology and sleep medicine.
- Maintain a working knowledge of emergency procedures regarding resuscitation and fire.
- Accept responsibility for professional development and competence.
