About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is seeking an experienced Financial Strategy and Partnership Leader to join our team. This exciting opportunity will involve leading on financial strategy, forecasting, and budgeting across our care and central office directorates.

Main Duties:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of service activity drivers to inform income and expenditure projections.
  • Support service leads in managing financial aspects of their services, mitigating commercial risks, and exercising delegated financial responsibilities.
  • Lead the annual budgetary cycle for the Service Teams, resulting in the establishment of a robust financial plan.
  • Manage and review the preparation of business plans, challenging assumptions and highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • CCAB qualified with experience in business partnering environments.
  • Expert knowledge in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Able to demonstrate strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to present credible arguments to senior employees.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £47,000 - £57,000 per annum.
  • A hybrid role with 37 hours per week, combining office and home working.

Business Planning and Forecasting
  • Manage and review the preparation of business plans, ensuring all assumptions are challenged and potential risks and opportunities are highlighted.
  • Ensure that all customers receive robust, accurate, and clear financial information.
  • Monitor and review Service Teams budgets and forecasts, taking corrective action as necessary to avoid overspend.
