We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing a wide range of psychiatric presentations on the Avocet ward, a 16-bedded male inpatient ward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide specialist psychiatric care to patients on the Avocet ward
  • To assess and manage complex psychiatric cases
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

The ideal candidate will have experience in general adult psychiatry and be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register/CCT within six months. In addition, they should have approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

We offer a competitive salary of £123,000 - £151,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
