About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Engineering Delivery Manager to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and directing a team of engineering line leaders, specialists, and industrial workers to achieve project goals and maintain operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety in your area of responsibility and collaborate with the team to maintain compliance with company and customer procedures.
  • Manage engineering output to ensure technical solutions meet agreed technical scope, applying technical expertise to achieve quality standards.
  • Promote effective cooperation across engineering and functional teams, working closely with the Fleet Engineering department and Babcock Fleet Programmes management function.
  • Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication and management.
  • Support the development of engineering capability to meet future programme demands.
  • Maintain industry best practice knowledge and promote a culture of engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing multi-disciplined engineering teams on large-scale, complex projects in a high-regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of safety management in a high-risk, complex environment.
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and assess complex engineering work packages, planning, preparing, and delivering in line with KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • HR management experience of capability, absence management, recruitment support, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
