About the Role

As a Fleet Engineering Delivery Manager at Babcock International Group, you will play a critical role in leading a team of engineering professionals to achieve project goals and maintain operational performance within the constraints of safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineering line leaders, specialists, and industrial workers to achieve project objectives and maintain operational performance.
  • Develop and direct engineering teams to ensure the highest standards of health and safety, quality, and technical expertise.
  • Provide a clear interface between the execution of work by the Fleet Engineering team, the wider Fleet Operations Directorate, and the Customer.
  • Ensure effective management of engineering output to ensure technical solutions align with agreed technical scope.
  • Promote effective cooperation across engineering and other functional teams.
  • Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships across key interfaces, internal and external to the business.
  • Support the development of engineering capability to meet the demands of future programs.
  • Maintain a knowledge of industry best practice and promote a culture of engineering best practice.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing multi-disciplined engineering teams on large-scale, complex projects within a high-regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of safety management within a high-risk, complex environment.
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and assess complex engineering work packages.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
  • HR management experience of capability, absence management, recruitment support, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
