The Role

As a Fleet Engineering Delivery Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of complex engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. You will lead, develop, and direct a team of skilled engineers across various disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Combat Systems, Fabrication, and Welding.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve project objectives within safety, quality, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained throughout all projects and operations.
  • Manage engineering output to ensure technical solutions align with agreed scopes and industry best practices.
  • Foster effective collaboration between engineering teams and other functional departments.
  • Develop and manage resource demand profiles for internal teams and external subcontractors.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Support the development of engineering capabilities to meet future program demands.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams on large-scale, complex projects within a highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of safety management within a high-risk, complex environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and assess complex engineering work packages, effectively planning, preparing, and delivering them in line with agreed KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in HR management, including capability, absence management, recruitment support, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
