Assistant Team Manager Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Team Manager to join our dynamic Children in Care team in Chippenham. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact on the lives of looked-after children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and supervise a team of qualified Social Workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable young people.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for children and families, working closely with the Team Manager and other stakeholders.
  3. Contribute to the development of the team's skills and knowledge, identifying opportunities for training and professional development.
  4. Collaborate with other agencies and partners to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve shared goals.

Requirements

  • Hold a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience of working in children and families' social care, with a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Possess a level 4 management qualification, preferably.
